4X gaming in Japan

I was surprised to learn there’s not a big audience for City Builder or 4X games in Japan. Allegedly this is because PC gaming just isn’t as big as it is in the west. Personally I would’ve thought that Japanese people would’ve adored this genre of games but I’m told this isn’t so. I’ve heard Civilisation is popular but other than that not so much. I’d really like to find 4X gamers in Japan to share some games with or at least some streamers.

Do Japanese prefer PC games or consoles/arcades?

Rock and Metal pubs for after System of a Down

Swinging by Warsaw for the gig Saturday/Sunday 18th July. Looking for where the best places to hang out afterwards are so I can book a hotel nearby. What do you recommend?

What are the biggest things tourists dislike about Tokyo and Japan in general?

I believe the Japan glazing is totally deserved. I love it! Tokyo is my favourite city, as soon as I leave I’m dying to go back. This post doesn’t mean to make any unfair criticisms because Japan is super cool.

I’m aware of the challenges of living there long term. However what I’m curious about what tourists struggle with or don’t like about it because it doesn’t get talked about a lot and I think it’d be helpful for people when they travel there.

For me the recycling system was confusing. I know it’ll probably start making sense given more time but it’s a bit much for me lol.

Also the luggage forwarding isn’t as fast as it used to be. The Japan rail pass is now useless and not worth the money.

What else?

Looking for the best coastal hikes and Beaches a train ride from Pisa or in the general Tuscany area?

Hi! This will be my third time in Italy. We’ll be flying in and out of Pisa Airport. We can only spend about 4 days to relax there. My partner would like to just sit on a sandy beach reading his book and go to reasonably priced restaurants in the evening. I’m hoping to find some hikes with a little off the beaten track atmosphere, quiet coves, clear water and hopefully some volcanic cliff or rock formations for at least one day of our trip.

Im hoping i can persuade him to go for a drive in the countryside too but it’s not essential. What are our options in the area?

EDIT DATES: sometime between 27th June and 5th July. I really liked Viareggio last time I was there and thought something like that would be nice for my OH who wants a nice beach and pasta etc. I wondered if there’s somewhere similar but with hike/car access to a somewhat wilder, more secluded area with more scenic cliffs, rock pools, Volcanic geology that’s going to be less touristy. Basically I’m location scouting for a days photography project but hubby has begged me to put him somewhere he can just have a rest. Thanks 🙏
