Is it just me, or are we ready to move on from the original Magnolias and let the younger generation take over? I've enough from them already.

Overall, I thought this season was sweet... maybe too sweet. There were so many TED Talk-style speeches. 😅 But honestly, that's always been part of the show's DNA.

>!What I was really happy about was Helen. After what they did to her character in Season 3 (which is still my least favorite season), I feel like she finally became the Helen we met in Season 1 again. Thank goodness for that.!<

>!What I wasn't happy about was bringing Dana Sue and Ronnie's relationship problems back to the center of the story. I was so ready to move on from that storyline.!<

Am I the only one?

This is probably just wishful thinking, but I'd love to see the show wrap up Dana Sue and Ronnie's story after Season 6 and then do a time jump. Let the "mini Magnolias" grow up and become the focus. They could recast the younger actors as adults and finally give Annie, Ty, Kyle, Katie, and the rest of the younger generation storylines that stand on their own. It could even give Annie and Ty the chance to finish their story in a way that's closer to the books.

Personally, I feel like we've reached the natural end of the original trio's main arcs. It almost seems like >!Dana Sue and Ronnie's conflict!<>! is being recycled !<just to keep the focus on the original Magnolias. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it feels to me.

I think it would be beautiful to see Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue step into mentor roles while the next generation becomes the heart of the series. A time jump would bring fresh energy, new relationships, and new conflicts, while still honoring everything the original cast built.

I honestly think the show could have a second life if it was willing to pass the torch.

What do you all think? Are you still invested in the original trio's stories, or would you be excited to see the younger generation take over? I don't know. Now they are again to >!open a new business together!<, I'm a bit done.

About 20 days ago, I made a pretty desperate post here and this community was incredibly supportive and kind.

Reading your responses was incredibly reassuring and helpful. As first-time Shiba puppy parents, it’s easy to second-guess everything, and your guidance really brought us more clarity (and a lot more calm 😅).

It turns out Kurama was definitely overtired. Enforced naps made a Hugo difference she’s honestly like a different puppy now.

Today she turned 12 weeks, and we’re already applying many of your suggestions. It’s making a real difference, and we feel much more confident moving forward.

You were truly crucial in helping us navigate this phase with her. Really grateful for this community thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping us (and Kurama!) along the way 🐕💛
