How do you decide what stays and what goes in your collection?

I've been doing some hard staring at my collection lately, and I think it's time to cull. But honestly it's proving harder than I expected. Some pens I never reach for but can't quite bring myself to let go of.

How do you make the call on what stays, what gets sold, swapped, or gifted? Do you have a system, or is it more of a vibe check? Is your decision time based? Bonus points if you've got a framework you actually use.
