This group was created to fight against what the Chai community has done to its users. I created a megalist that is pinned to the community of all the existing problems, some being in the comments as well. What we want to do now? Work together to get the ChaiApp community to listen to its users

How you can help? Make reports and cancel subscriptions. Don't go to the reddit, you'll only get silenced. Go to wherever you downloaded it, if you use the app, and rate it and leave an honest review. There is a pinned post by Outrageous on how to do that

We can't do this alone. We need a lot of support. If you know others that are affected by this, recruit them to the group. The more we have, the more of an affect that we can have on the owners

I’m not sure if it was Chai or Character ai that this was happening to but I heard that someone in Utah is suing them. Could we finally be getting the initiative to fight against them?

So with all the research I’ve been doing, here’s a list of new things that I’ve found/a list of everything that’s been found so far that affect free and paying users. If there is anything new or anything I miss please let me know and I’ll edit it

1. ⁠Chat histories have gotten completely wiped
2. ⁠Entire chats have been deleted from inboxes
3. False advertising (everything is blocked behind a paywall yet they say it’s all free⁠)
4. Character limits (can only have a certain amount of letters in chats)
5. Advanced backstories are gone
6. Region blocks
7. Saying unlimited when it’s not
8. Bot quality has gone down
9. Ads galore (for free users there are banners, in the chats, and even some after sending a few messages)
10. False promises (keeps saying they’ll fix it but only makes the app worse)
11. Won’t listen to criticism (all things are getting deleted immediately or if they get downvoted too much it’s deleted)
12. Claims to be going bankrupt but isn’t
13. Being banned for speaking the truth on Reddit (also applies to the criticism part)
14. Sometimes the app won’t work after closing the subscription screen (seems to be fixed but wanted people aware)
15. Weekly instead of monthly payments (claims to be rising gpu costs)
16. Some users still “monthly” pricing (in little text it says it renews weekly)
17. Can’t scroll to read past chat history if it’s available (it forces you to watch an ad and after said ad you are back at the last recent message)
    ⁠18. Login problems (some users get stuck on the loading screen and can’t get past it)
18. You can only have up to a limit of 100 chats at a time (any others get deleted)
19. Only half the users are affected (tossed in either A or B sides and go from there, I.e. one side is testing one side doesn’t get touched)
20. Updates make the app worse (each promise “bug fixes and improvements” but do nothing)

22. Free users can’t use bots they created (have to pay for that)
23. Paying for everything (unlimited messages, chatting to private bots, instant delete messages, and much more)
24. Fake reviews (won’t let any reviews lower than 4 stars go through; letting bots leave good reviews. Have to give high stars just to complain about the app)
25. The new website is very buggy (users have to use old versions)
26. Bots make no sense (also correlates to the memory issues)

How we feeling with the new update that came out? I’ve heard lots about it and want to know how the community feels about it. Post everything you feel here

I tried posting in the official Reddit asking why we’re still losing chats after two weeks and it hasn’t been posted onto it cause it’s still needing to be reviewed. Has anyone gotten some type of answer about it?

(I know the answer is most likely not, I’m just trying to get this out there in hopes someone from the mods see because I’m not sure reaching out through email is gonna really get to them)

To those that have paid for premium and ultra, after everything that has happened, how many of you have canceled? I hear some have canceled and some haven’t and wanted to see the difference, because with everything going on, it’s affecting everyone differently

And just for extra understanding, if you’re okay with sharing, tell me what tier you pay for and what’s affected you, I want to see exactly how everything affects people

(For context: I’ve seen some users get their chats back and others haven’t, some never lost their chats. Even to the point some free users still have unlimited while others don’t have any messages anymore. I want to see if we really are just randomly being put into groups for updates and testing of different features)
