Anybody have the scoop? When I first checked it said expected restoration by 5pm. Then it was on for a few minutes then back off. Now it says 8p.

Buttercup and the White Hart F Litter turned 6 today (except sweet Jacob, rest easy buddy).
Buttercup celebrated by having a pup ice cream and frolicking with her new stuffed Axolotl.
Anybody have a preferred place for battery replacement? Mine is tanking and needs to be replaced.
Today after 6 days of laying I finally used some of the eggs from the girls (not actually sure who’s laying at this point.
And the first egg I cracked (from day 2) was a double yolk! So exciting!
After months of waiting we have our first egg! I think it was probably one of the Wyandottes. Happy that the shell looks good (I was honestly expecting a soft shell the first time around since we have them on Grower with Oyster Shells if they want them).
They posted this 7 hours ago…what I wouldn’t give for a 65 degree day.
First, yes- I did google it and thanks to enshittification I didn’t come up with many options (suggesting options in Chicago and Florida isn’t super helpful).
Anybody know of a good day respite option? We care for my aunt who had a stroke and can’t be left alone. She’s social and it would he great for everyone if we could find some sort of adult day respite (a day or two a week).
We tried a couple of the in home care companies and their requirements for time don’t work (4 hour shifts, minimum 3 days a week…frequent call outs).
The random fireworks have started- so it’s also time to scan your dogs to make sure their microchip is still present. They can migrate so it’s good practice to doubled check periodically.
Also, check microchip records and make sure your info is up to date so they can be reunited if they get out.
So, we’re a few matches in- what’s everyone’s favorite place to watch? Bonus points if they’re showing non-US matches.
I agree with Leslie, those kids in the original Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory were definitely murdered.
So our hens are going to bed really early- like sunset is between 8:30 and 9 and they’re in the coop by 6. They’ve been outside for almost two weeks.
Is there any harm in that?
Video of them roosting for tax.
So the house we bought has a 10x20 shop that we need quotes for finishing as a studio/office space. The previous owners built it or had it built but it’s just a shell with nice doors. We’d initially considered partial DIY but since they didn’t permit, we’re thinking it needs a professional to make sure the right permits are pulled at the right times and everything meets code.
Would love suggestions for trustworthy contractors who have experience with small spaces (ideally).
We’ve had these babies for 2 months now and they’re getting so big (they were between a week and 2 old when we brought them home). Hoping we only have hens!
Breeds are: Gold Laced Wyandotte (x2), Buff Orpington, Welsummer, Cinnamon Queen and a Production Blue.
There's a bunch of really cool events going on this month (including a foraging workshop that still has a bunch of seats later this week).
