AirTransat rebooked me for a day later - the day before departure. Can't I request a flight on a different carrier?
My AirTransat flight got rebooked the day before I was supposed to leave! I'm now rebooked for the next day. I'm traveling with two kids under 4 and I'd really like to keep my original itinerary.
I was supposed to fly YYZ to CDG at 21:05 on Monday; they moved me to Tuesday at 21:05. Since the departure is >9hr later than the original booking, shouldn't I be eligible for a flight on a different carrier? The customer service representative I spoke to didn't think so, but their own website seems to say differently. Also, my reading of the Canadian Transportation Agency's website says I should be able to get booked on another flight with another carrier but I'd be grateful if anyone has had a similar experience or insight!
