Guttate spots looking redder right after UVB!

I’ve just started UVB, 3 sessions in. I’ve noticed my plaques are extremely reactive, in the morning when I’m lying down they’re pale and not very red and as soon as I start moving about and going about my day they darken up.

It’s been looking less inflamed these past several days after 2 sessions so I thought I was improving, but I’ve noticed right after a session my spots look very red. It’s like all the progress I’ve made looks undone.

Is it normal for them to look inflamed right after and then calm down? I know I’m early in treatment but I’d like to know if I need to flag this.

My skin overall isn’t looking red or burnt.

How far in advance did you get your surgery date?

Been in braces for about 7 months now, the plan was around 12-14 months prior to surgery but I’m hoping for the lower end. In November 25 I was advised by my ortho to have my wisdom teeth out as soon as possible so they came out in January 26. The turnaround offered for this wisdom teeth surgery was surprisingly quick (around a month or 2).

Wondering how far in advance you can expect an orthognathic surgery date?

How much did phototherapy work for you? UVB

I’m currently suffering with a stubborn flare up following a strep infection. Prior to this I hadn’t had psoriasis in over 10 years except chronic on my elbows and knees.

It’s mainly guttate but also have some plaques on my back and stomach. It’s flared for over 3 months now and if anything is getting worse. It seems to go in cycles when I think it’s improving and then a few days later I’m back to square one.

I’m having phototherapy in a few days but I wanted to know what to expect. I’m hopeful but mine seems to be very stubborn as steroids aren’t working at all so I’m worried I’m going to have to go onto biologics, especially as some looks plaquey now.

Would be interested to hear peoples experiences of phototherapy!
