Biggest success stories of light rail / grassy trams?

What are the most successful light rail systems in the world? I would prefer examples in North America or the best examples abroad with super high ridership.

Also, any specific examples of great light rail that runs next to a pedestrian trail?

I’m using this to build data and examples to advocate for light rail in my city. Thanks!

Bike theft prevention?

We’re in the market for a new cargo bike after recently having one stolen from outside our house while locked. I’m paranoid and distrusting now. My thought is the new bike needs to have Apple find my iPhone capability, plus I will attach a Knog bike alarm/GPS tracker. I am also investing in a Litelok X3 lock and maybe also a folding lock as a backup lock.

This time around I’ll also invest in Velosurance or something similar.

Is there anything I’m missing? Is this overboard? I’m afraid to even leave my e-bike locked outside during a yoga class with the X3 lock after this theft experience

Restaurant wedding?

We want a wedding with around 100 people but want to cap it around $30k, which is pretty tight in this market/economy where prices keep soaring. The most affordable option that seems to fit our criteria is a local restaurant that has a really nice garden patio where they can host weddings with up to \~130 people seated. There’s an area covered under a tent for a dance floor and DJ.

The restaurant handles all the food (buffet/stations style), and drinks/cocktails in-house. They do all the wedding planning and already have tables, chairs, and decor. That saves a ton of money.

We would hire a cheap florist that often works with them, a DJ, photographer, and a live harp player for the ceremony. We can do a premium open bar package.

My only concern is that the venue is not as formal and serious/upscale as a lot of other venues. There’s kind of an abandoned mechanic/gas station next door, I noticed one corner of the restaurant ceiling seemed to have some water damage or mold visible if you looked closely. I’m a lawyer and I’ve heard a lot of judgmental comments from other lawyers over the years about how people judge lawyers for their car, clothes, and other external signs of wealth, etc. So part of me is afraid that my peers will be judgmental of a cheaper restaurant wedding compared to a more extravagant, expensive wedding (which I cannot afford as our families are not paying for this).

However, it has a charming cottage garden vibe. We thought it had an understated elegance and isn’t tacky compared to an all gold plated commercial venue with marble and gold and extravagant style which is not our taste. An elegant outdoor garden with a Japanese maple is up our alley which we like about it.

Is it worth it to get a Tern GSD?

If I’m using a cargo bike as a car replacement is it worth it to splurge on a Tern GSD rather than a quick haul or even a different cheaper brand like a Lectric XPedition 2.0?

Should I worry about not having a throttle on a Bosch motor? I’ve always had a throttle before and do enjoy it so I’m worried pedal assist only would be limiting
