Massive hydrangea when to prune?
Southern UK. Large hydrangea which has been growing in moderate shade. Approx 7-8 ft tall and 12-15 ft wide, quite lanky. Looking to reduce the size a bit and also remove some of the overhead branches to get a bit more light. When's the best time? I can see the flowers forming on the side facing the sun.
