How I became confident in talking to girls

I feared getting rejected by girls. I was always anxious to make a move and always regretted not taking action. But I realized that all I needed was to get rid of my anxiety, build up social confidence, and gain some momentum.

So the first step was making eye contact and smiling at crew members or cashiers when ordering something. Then started asking for directions that most girls know (mostly I asked where the nearest starbucks was). Small interactions help gain momentum when you're trying to start a conversation.

Next was trying to give compliments. I did this in a friendly way with no romantic interest. I read a thread here on how girls appreciate when men compliment them and show interest in what they're wearing or doing.

After having a bunch of conversations with girls, such as asking for directions, giving compliments, or asking for an opinion. I became much more comfortable starting to talk to them.

I started flirting when talking to girls. There are times when they reject me, but the most important thing is that I am able to speak with them confidently and I have been on multiple dates after struggling to find one for many years.

Just played a random match and got hired

So as usual I was playing some online video games at night. I had kept my mic on and was saying random things then suddenly a player opens his mic and asks me if I can do a voice-over for his YouTube video and he will pay me for it. So, I did the voice-over for him and after that I thought of doing it as a side hustle and found some clients through Instagram and started making money. I had never imagined that playing video game and saying random things can become a way for me to earn money.
