What actually helped me get better UGC clients (it wasn’t sending more pitches)
One thing that helped me get better UGC clients wasn’t sending more pitches.
It was making my portfolio stupidly easy to understand.
Instead of just showing a bunch of videos, I started grouping them by what a brand might actually need:
• Problem/solution videos
• Product demos
• Talking-head testimonials
• Voiceover + B-roll
• Hooks that grab attention in the first 2–3 seconds
I also started putting the strongest 3–5 examples first instead of making brands dig through 20+ videos.
Small change, but it made outreach feel way less like “here’s my portfolio, hope you like it” and more like “here’s exactly what I can make for you.”
If you’re trying to land more UGC clients, what’s been the hardest part for you lately — finding brands, getting replies, or actually pricing your work?
