I see a lot of people who want to get into fitness UGC hold off because they think they need abs, 50k followers, or 5 years of gym experience first. You really don't guys

A lot of fitness content is just showing how a product fits into a normal person's day, and I think it’s more interesting to show the normal life and not the perfect routine!! (Think about Lululemon for example)

The other big one: don't pretend to be something you're not. You don't need to act like a pro athlete or give fitness advice you're not qualified to give. I think "regular person actually using this thing" is often more and more relatable than a perfect physique anyway. See which format feels most natural for you and keep going from there :))

I’ve spent the last 3 years creating Beauty content, working with everything from small skincare brands to larger campaigns. Looking back, there are so many things I learned through trial and error that would have saved me a lot of time if someone had explained them when I started.

1. I spent too much time worrying about growing my account when I should have been improving my portfolio. Brands hiring UGC creators are often looking at the content itself, your delivery, concepts and whether you can make their product look natural on camera or not
2. Don’t wait for a perfect portfolio, use products that you already own to create sample videos. You don’t need 20 paid campaigns before you can start pitching. A few strong examples showing different formats are enough to demonstrate what you can create.
3. Learn usage rights early, ngl This is something I wish I understood from the beginning. A brand using your video organically is different from using it for paid advertising, and the duration and platforms matter too. Always ask where the content will be used before agreeing to a price.
4. One mistake I made was stopping outreach whenever I had a few projects. Then those projects finished and the pipeline was empty. Keeping some outreach going makes the workload much more predictable.

My first impression of UGC was to build a cute lifestyle that everyone wants to achieve, it’s like a vision board so viewers will be inspired by me. However, I was burning out fast after spending hours trying to find the perfect contents only to receive endless revision requests.

I was so close to giving up when one of the brands I worked with gave me honest feedback that despite how good my videos looked, it wasn’t built for paid media. After that, I started treating my contents as performance media.

I started working on my hook first, I tried different styles to catch audience attention instead of saying an opening sentence. It’s also better to film different hooks for one video, it can be helpful for brands to triple their ad testing capability. Also, create relatable contents according to your target audience. Your content should be the process, not the outcome which obviously is different to one another.

Stop trying to create aesthetic clips for your brand deals, build actual assets designed to perform in paid feeds, that’s one of the why’s brand keeps working with you.

You’ll get weekly hooks, ideas, and creative direction from us, but we want the content to feel natural in your own voice. Creators in the ongoing program will be expected to post daily.

No following required. We care much more about being comfortable on camera, understanding short-form content, and being able to create consistently.
