Can Cacio e Pepe give you periorbital edema?
Basically it's a swelling under the eye(s), caused by fluid buildup. A common cause of it is excessive salt consumptions, which can make the body retain too much water. Under the thin skin around the eye area this becomes noticable through swelling.
I ask this because like 24ish hours after eating not even that much Cacio e Pepe it happened to me. I know it's salty but is there really that much salt in the cheese? Has anyone else experienced this?
