Hello Dell community, I have a Dell latitude 5401 that recently has started displaying an error with the TPM module. What I have done so far has been removed the battery. I removed it for like an hour and a half and I went just did something. I also removed the CMOS battery during that time. I have held the power button so the light would sequence three times to do that. I have reinstalled the BIOS. Something I realized during reinstalling is Intel's me did not reinstall. It just said that it was on the same version and just skipped it. And from what I found that is the main cause of this The thing that I think causes is I left it in my bag and it must have been on or it just died or something is I got it out of my bag at home and I tried turning on. I got a low battery message and I just continued boot because I was going to plug it in shortly but it got into windows and then crashed like the BIOS cut power because low battery which is fine. But then ever since that happened TPM 2.0 has not been available. It has been charging perfectly fine. Everything works perfectly fine. It's just I want my TPM 2.0 to work
Just to add some more information. I run Windows 11 without BitLocker so tpm modules are not important to me that much but I do use Windows. Hello and other stuff that does use it but isn't necessary so it is a nice to have and I'm not huge on having a message pop up every single time I will use the device. Especially the fact that I have a domain and I have this device hibernate after 5 minutes of the lid being closed. Which is I know excessive but it saves me on battery hugely if you have any questions Feel free to ask
