Can't Access Sidebar - In-Browser (Chrome)

Can't Access Sidebar - In-Browser (Chrome)

Specs:

- Chrome

- Macbook (but also issue on PC)

Why can I not access my sidebar to see my recent chats / settings / etc. on browser? It only works when I zoom in to a ridiculous amount which for obvious reasons, I don't want to do because it makes reading responses extremely tedious and cumbersome.

Also, the Perplexity chat itself was completely useless in trying to help me.

I'm sure there has to be some kind of answer because this seems like too fatal / dumb of a flaw for there not to be.

(also, to the best of my knowledge, I have no extensions that are blocking it because this is not an issue on any other AI site that I use)

How to turn off paragraph / padded spacing?

Cross-posted to /claude(s thousand subreddits).

The most annoying thing about AI is the seemingly complete inability to change the output text to remove the paragraph spacing. Idk what the proper term is, but I know that in Google Docs, it's toggled on/off by clicking the add/remove space before/after paragraph.

Even when you tell it to do all of the text in-line and not do the spacing, there is still always the spacing at the end of that message.

In the micro, it's really not that annoying, just an easy fix.

But when you're generating things with multiple headers / sub-headers, it is so annoying.

Like is it really that hard to just have it:
X
blank line
Y?

Right now I'm in a weird spot where ideally I'd just use the "none" auto-cleanup option because I'm literally transcribing a book. So I don't want the auto-cleanup to "make concise" or "remove filler words" because sometimes the filler words do a lot of heavy lifting (i.e., "but").

I can't just use "none" because (1) it doesn't register "new line" (because as advertised it dictates exactly what you say, so not knocking it for this), and (2) I'm unable to correctly dictate punctuation like I am in the other options (if I say "comma", the dictation comes out as "comma" in this option but if I do it on other tiers it comes out as intended ",").

But conversely, while the higher levels do accurately register a punctuation when said, as mentioned earlier, it removes certain filler words, or it edits grammar too much, taking what I intended and said to be an en dash and making it a comma, or removing a semicolon and just starting the sentence anew.

This is even with me having things like "comma" set to "," in my dictionary / snippets.

But right now, the gaps between the options are too big so I'm stuck in a spot of still having to edit my dictations while using the higher levels to put the words in there that the transcript skipped over and correct the dictations.

So yeah I think an option to pretty much set hardline rules across all tiers would be perfect bc rn the dictionary / snippet options don't fully solve this!

NOT A BUG REPORT. ASKING HOW TO DO SOMETHING OR IF THAT THING IS EVEN POSSIBLE CURRENTLY.

I see on Wispr's Smart Formatting page (https://docs.wisprflow.ai/articles/5373093536-how-do-i-use-smart-formatting-and-backtrack#how-to-enable-smart-formatting), it says that "Flow automatically adjusts capitalization based on where your cursor is — lowercase if mid-sentence. . ."

Yeah idk if I'm tripping but this just straight up hasn't been the case for me. It's been quite frustrating because it works great in every other context but I just can't use it to make actual edits.

I've literally tried it with every single possible setting and it just doesn't work.

So literally as typing this I figured "Hey maybe this is just google docs." So I tried it in ChatGPT and there, it does correctly capitalize based off of in-sentence location. But it still doesn't in Docs which is where I do 99% of my work. I turned off auto-caps to try and see if that would work, but alas, nothing. Even though that didn't work, ideally I wouldn't have to do that regardless.

This is honestly the only thing that's stopping me from subscribing to pro so it'd be great if I could get some pointers.

TIA.
