Okay context. Im an 18 y/o single mom. I had my son when i was 15. The father isnt around and hasnt been. Then i was like 4 months away from my due date some stuff happened and my parents separated. My dad left, leaving my mom with me and my two siblings. For the past 2 years my mom has solely supported us all. My dad has the kids every other weekend but he doesn’t really help pay for anything. While my mom has financially supported us, i did everything else. After freshman year i started doing homeschooling, i pick up the kids from school, i take them to school. I do all the chores, i cook all the food. It was a very old timey relationship where the man (my mom in this situation) paid for everything and the wife (me in this situation) did all the housework and the homemaking. But now im 18. I can get state help now, and i have. The state will pay for childcare so i can do college and work. I’ve applied to like everywhere in town and no one has really responded. My friend can get me into her job but its from 11am to 7pm. I wouldnt be able to pick up the kids. My mom like got mad at me because i asked her to find child care for my youngest siblings so i can work and help with bills and support my own kid. I just want to be able to not have to rely on her to pay for everything because then she uses it against me. “Well you have to do what i say because i pay for your kid”. And i want to help with bills because she is struggling on her own. Its like Everytime i try to do something for me, to get me on the right track, she tells me no. Am i the asshole for being upset?

Im turning 18 may 22nd. Been driving since before nov 1st 2024. Legally driving since Nov 1st 2024. I really need car insurance because my mom wont let me drive out of town without it. Is there any cheap insurance that i can get? Ive been in no accidents, have had no issues.
