Pleading the fifth rules

Gonna preface this by saying I am not American. So I know that pleading the fifth is essentially a way for people in court to asset their right to silence to avoid self incrimination. I also know that you can’t just plead the fifth because you can’t be bothered answering questions or hate police.

But how do they determine if the statement would be self incriminating or if someone is just being uncooperative? What safeguards are in place to prevent people from abusing this or to protect people into giving incriminating evidence after pleading?

Tavernier refused to play for Rangers tonight

Celtic flair I know but bias aside, this seems to be a pretty big bit of news flying under the radar.

According to Rohl, and I’m paraphrasing here, medical team told Rohl Tav was injured and needed an injection that would see him miss tonight’s last home game. Rohl spoke to Tav and convinced him to postpone the injection so he could be available for tonight. Fast forward tonight, Rohl talks to Tav prematch and tells him he won’t be starting the game and tells him openly and honestly why. He apparently tells Tav he will 100% play and he’ll finish the game on the park with the armband on but he just won’t be starting.

By Rohls own words Tav wouldn’t accept that and made a choice to withdraw from the team.

What we all think of this? Bear in mind, this is Rohls version, haven’t heard from Tav yet.

Personally, I’d be on Rohls side with this. He’s the manager and he picks the team. Tavs recent performances have been poor and justified dropping. You can’t let player power dictate starting XI’s. If he was going to sub Tav on so he could finish the game, then this is just extremely poor from Tavernier, reeks of entitlement and throwing toys out the pram. Different story if Rohl dropped him entirely but it doesn’t seem to be the case thus far.

Curious to see if Tavernier comes out with a statement/response.

So the hive guard is reverted back. That’s a separate discussion. Yet the flame sentry and mech are still broken.

The hive guard got buffed, followed by mass hysteria and downvoting. AH announced within a day or two it would get reverted and a week later it’s done.

The flame sentry and lumberer are still broken. Their flames still don’t apply damage sub 14m. They were the two major buffs in the last patch, mechs and flame sentry. The whole warbond was focused around mechs. They’re still broken and AH haven’t fixed those in the hotfix. They were literally the selling point of the patch.

It seems that AH are spurred into quick action by the mass hysteria of the hive guard. Is this the only way to get things done quickly? By being extremely dramatic and review bombing the game?
