Please tell me where to get cheap base layers!!

I swear every outdoors shop that I visit in person is so incredulously expensive and I refuse to believe that I’m simply buying it for functionality. I understand that there’s moisture wicking technology and it’s merino wool or whatever but there’s gotta be at least one brand that makes base layers at a cheaper price point. Then again, are base layers really that important? Can I just use dry fit or something? Sorry this is a rant more than anything else lol, I just saw a tshirt today for $80 and it made me really mad

Edit: thank you for the helpful information and engagement, if you have any other recommendations for things like mid layers that would help too! I’m going on a 4 day trip in the late summer so I’m not expecting it to get that cold

Luv (sic) first tattoo

I got my first tattoo just about a month ago as a commemorative piece for Nujabes. It’s hard to explain the significance to people who don’t know of him but his music has really inspired me of the last few years. I had a hard time in general with my first year or university ( work, school etc etc. I just kind of felt on my own the whole time). Listening to his music honestly gave me a purpose lol. I know it’s a common tattoo but I wish to get the metamorphosis art as a filler around my arm. Really happy with how it turned out🙂

Any advice on filling out a sleeve?

Okay so I just got this tattoo a few weeks back but I started to realize that it would be difficult or would look weird if I get a full sleeve later on. Also, does anyone have advice on choosing placement/ getting a big piece all at once? I don’t want my arm to look patchy (sometimes it looks really cool when it’s planned out but the ones I’ve seen look disorganized). Thanks 🙂

How do I stop worrying about what other people think of my tattoo?

I just got my first tattoo a few days ago and and I’m really happy with how it turned out. However, I can’t help but think about how people ask me about what it means or its significance. It holds significance to be but I feel like no one else understands. Why do tattoos have to be significant to others for it to make sense? Am I overthinking this or is this a common feeling for first tattoos?

I’m going into my second year and I need to find some 2000 level bird courses with the least amount of writing possible lol. My calendar is already extremely writing and reading intensive. Does anyone have recommendations for 2nd year courses that are relatively easy?

For some context, I’ve never been backpacking before so I’m trying to just get out there this summer. I’m planning on going for 3 days but I’ll definitely go on longer trips in the future. Are there any good quality that cost less than $400? I’ll basically take anything besides a frameless bag.

I was looking at the granite gear blaze 60 but I heard the plastic frame breaks easily. I also don’t really know what to look for in store, I’m 6’2 with a wide frame but honestly everything I’ve tried feels comfortable

Also if you have any recommendations regarding places to hike in Ontario and other gear that would be really helpful!
