I've been looking to get a new laptop for some time now, But obviously the shortages have caused prices to surge

Is it worth waiting for big sales like GIF on amazon? or will the prices rise enough to nearly mitigate the sale's discounts compared to right now?

If they will, which laptops should I go for as of now?

so far, I plan on getting the nitro v15 (despite the warnings of acer being "shit" due to my very good after sales support on multiple occasions) during the summer sale from amazon.

I have an M1 macbook air who's battery got pretty spicy recently.

I tried using it without it's battery unplugged and of course, It got limited to around 900 mhz on the P cores and 2048 or so on the E cores. It handles very basic tasks like browsing the web fine, but even the slighest of loads cause it to scream and get on its knees

Have any bypasses to unlock the power draw and performance limits put in place been found?

I don't really intend on spending on a battery since I think it's likely that I'll be getting a new laptop but that might take a few months.
