I am going to be working for a small firm as a 1099 contract attorney soon. Several people have recommended that I open a LLC with S-corp election, but my CPA says that the entity needs to be a professional corp. My question is that if I'm not actually opening up my own firm, do I still need to go the PC route? And do all these state bar requirements need to be met? https://www.calbar.ca.gov/legal-professionals/entities/law-corporations-program#:\~:text=Professional%20corporations%20practicing%20law%20in,later%20than%20May%2029%2C%202026.
