What up r/PokemonChampions

Longtime fan, casual VGC player, and dad here.

My 13 year old has recently started playing the game.

She started just playing with the ones she found cute. Then she decided to try and climb the ladder. She asked me for a meta team, which I was easily able to provide.

She's made it to Ultra Ball, and now she's stuck.

She has asked me to build her a Trick Room team.

The thing is, I am terrible at TR.

My style is closer to hyper offense or balance. I tend to avoid gimmicky sets. I have tried TR a few times, and the only time I've ever pulled it off was with my Eevee team, because nobody expect TR Espeon.

I know she's going to need the giraffe and the tea cup. Probably the turtle as well.

Can anyone recommend some good mons for a TR team? I can figure out the natures and EVs and all that stuff. Just some names and maybe some useful moves I might not be aware.

I tried looking up local events. The only thing I found was a place called dungeon games. But their website has no info. Everything directs me to facebook, but I don't have a Facebook account so I cant see anything.

Anyone know of local events for Pokémon VGC?
