Relapse

Hey #GBS peeps!

I got sick end of 2019 was finally diagnosed in April of 2020. I had all of the treatments and meds and physical therapy. I was also diagnosed with lyme disease in 2021. I finally got off the walker, crutches and canes Spring of 2023 and off the meds and IVIG by the end of the year.

I still have pins and needles in my feet but its liveable ... but lately I am worried that Im on my way to a relapse. Im getting tired easily, I go to the gym on the reg and am exhausted by the time I get home and I have noticed Im getting shortness of breath here and there, that really worries me and yes Im going to go to the doctor (I haven't heard from my neurologist in years I think she was relieved to be rid of me quite frankly) and see whats what, but I was wondering if anyone has ever relapsed and what the signs were.

Thank you and hope everyone out there is doing ok.

Xcel Gym Elevator Issue

Do any of you fine folks know the poop on why the elevator at Sky Tower/Excel Gym hasn't been fixed in some months? Obviously not Excel's fault but what's the big deal getting an elevator fixed?

Big, Rusty, Heavy Urn Removal

Hello my fellow Hobokenites! I'm in need of some advice.

In front of my building there's been a big ole rusty urn that I've been given permission to get rid of and I am here to ask how.

It weighs a ton I can barely move it so calling Got Junk would cost a fortune. I was told by a neighbor to "call the city" and have it removed, what does that mean exactly?

Being that its metal would anyone want it for scrap? And if so do I just Google Hoboken Scrap Yard? Do you think someone from Facebook Market Place might want it?

Thanks for your help, hope everyone is having a good week!

Thank You Whole Foods Clerk

This past weekend I shopped at Whole Foods on Washington for a few things I could heat up for dinner and a block away looking for my phone in my large handbag I felt wetness that turned out to be all of the sauce in the container of sesame tofu spilling out because the container was never properly closed and sealed.

I pep stepped back to WF and went to the check out counter where a lovely young lady not only profusely apologized but allowed me to clean out bag, brought paper towels and wet ones and took the faulty container and my other container of mac n cheese (that got sauce all over it) and brought new ones of each and wrapped them in plastic bags.

I had to turn my bag upside down and gave her all of the ruined items (gloves, pack of gum and other odds and ends) for her to throw away and I said thanks so much for helping me and she said I know this is an expensive bag you're taking this much better than I would, I'd be crying.

Customer service like this means the world to me, you don't experience it as much as you should. It's just so nice when something shitty happens to you and someone agrees that it is shitty, recognizes why you're upset and makes a difference by helping.

Thank you Whole Foods employee and after cleaning it more and putting outside to dry for a few hours my handbag is good as it was before and no longer reeks of sesame sauce.
