uhh thief x backrooms uhmmmm [nervous smile]

just wanted an excuse to draw these idiots together, nothing else :P

This was just a silly idea that I wanted to doodle because i love love love hollow knight and i love love love thief xD

(Yes Garrett’s Hk name was changed to Filch because it makes a bit more sense for the universe, but that’s totally subjective and can be ignored ^^)

Decided to do some facial/anatomy studies with our favorite corrupt god, the Trickster ^^
Pretty happy with how these turned out

Sometimes I forget that despite being an evil Mechanist totalitarian dictator and having a silly voice, Karras was once a Hammer and is actually a super smart engineer that made absolutely everything for his uprising!! So here’s a little drawing to show that working side of him 😼 And also Karras doesn’t get enough love from you taffers so i have to do it myself

Okay I know the game itself is highly disliked, whatever, that’s not the point of this post — I absolutely LOVE just about every piece of concept art that the artists put out for the game of Thief (2014) and I will forever be upset with Eidos for scrapping a massive portion of it

HOWEVER, that said, Garrett’s concept design was NOT it and I’m very glad they somewhat remediated him with his actual in-game model but oh my GOD. His concept art made him look like a literal rat and I know I know, he’s meant to be a seen as a rat or whatever by the general populous in game cuz he’s a thief but like his eyes were too big, he was too skinny, and he just looked like he crawled out of the gutters after being dragged into them by rodents rather than a professional thief.

If they had kept that design for him in the end to the T, I feel like it would’ve just made an already mediocre game into a worse one for me because I can’t lie, I partially played it just because I liked how they’d made Garrett’s model (PLZ DON’T KILL ME ITS OPINIONS BASED). I much prefer his design from the old games, don’t get me wrong — His scar and mechanical eye being something that I rather missed in the reboot (Yes i know he has a scar in the 2014 game, but it’s far less noticeable and iconic), but there are still some things I like about his “new” design, like his leather armor instead of metal armor that would make a ton of noise when thieving (looking at you deadly shadows). But anyway, that’s about all I wanted to say. I don’t like Thi4f’s Garrett Concept art.

This is such a pointless rant and I know nobody cares but I just had to share this and also a picture of what it actually reminded me of LMAO

this is a stupid animation i saw one of my friends make for another community so i decided to make my own version for thief ✌️

Not much else to say other than I just wanted to finally give this guy a design a could look at — even if it’s far from what would be considered traditional haha

This one took way longer than i had originally intended but I’m quite satisfied with how it turned out! I wanted to do more with that acolyte drawing i made and was inspired by this soundtrack as a way to show a sort of hypothetical progression of Garrett’s life.

Yes, I know my Trickster representation is not canon compliant — no, I do not care :3

There’s not enough people left in this community to tell me how I should or shouldn’t draw a character xD
