Creating first conlang
Hi fellow conlangers :)
I am Fede, an italian conlanger and I am looking forward to sharing and discussing my first conlang with y’all.
Its name is “Is-Prišk”, meaning “The Language” and it should be spoken by the Čemeks, the inhabitants of the Čemek Empire, situated on the continent of Magna Terra Orientalis (in Is-Prišk “Ňeki Vješehi Guis”).
This conlang is synthetic (system consisting in 11 cases), has no gender (which is stuck to the concept of the words) and only 2 numbers (singular and plural).
The verbs have 2 aspects (imperfective and perfective), 3 tenses (past, present and future), 5 moods (indicative, infinitive, gerund, participle and ottative) and 3 diathesises (active, passive, reflexive/reciprocal), which can show via affixation (pre-, in- and subfixes).
The conlang has its own writing system, the “čemki abyced” or “is-priški abyced”, but outside of the worldbuilding context it also supports extended latin (as you have seen) and extended cyrillic.
Here comes an example of the conlang, written both in latin and cyrillic scripts, and translated:
Iž-žjofal juvjutaja zalkalt vauskyldzabyčilšfa is-skirsigen čemekje
Іж-жёфал ювютая залкалт ваўскилsабичілшфа іс-скірсігэн чэмэке
The flame of love will never be extinguished in the heart of the man.
