Why do most residential proxy providers expire unused traffic?

I've been comparing several residential proxy providers lately and noticed that most of the big names expire unused traffic after 30 days.

For people who don't use proxies every day, this feels wasteful because you can end up losing GBs you've already paid for.

I recently came across a provider that allows traffic to remain available until it's actually used, which got me wondering why more providers don't offer this model.

Another thing I noticed is that some providers require KYC while others allow instant access without verification.

For those of you who use residential proxies regularly:

  • Do you prefer traffic that never expires?
  • Is KYC a dealbreaker for you?
  • Which providers have given you the best value recently?

Curious to hear what everyone is using these days.
