What can I wear under my prom dress to give me a bit of shape?

Hi everyone I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this! I was wondering what I could wear under my prom dress to cinch my waist and hide my stomach without showing through the dress? (I don’t have the dress yet but the ones I’m looking at are thinner 90s style dresses). I’ve tried shape wear before but it didn’t really do anything - so would a corset be the right choice to give me a bit of shape? Thanks in advance and sorry if this isn’t the right sub!

Reputable sources for dresses like these UK?

I would love a dress like this for prom and was wondering if anyone could find reputable online retailers I could buy one from (everywhere I look is a bit sketchy and I want to be really confident so I don’t get scammed!). Would love if it came with matching gloves too but I could ofc get these elsewhere. Thanks in advance
