genuinely the worst apartment i've ever lived in in my life. infested with german roaches (normal for GNV though), broken window, door doesn't lock properly, broken AC, baseboards are SO nasty, lots of cracks, crevices, random holes. these clowns even painted over a whole lizard. my god this place genuinely sucks and i wanted to complain, do NOT pick the $1000 floor plan it is NOT WORTH IT DO NOT LIVE HERE!!

if anyone does have roach advice though please share im screwed as long as this lease stands

edit: didn't mention this but they're also pretty scummy. took extra money from me for no reason, really vague on information, management never knows what the hell you're talking about, and as a bonus internet is included but if your previous tenant STEALS THE ROUTER then they just tell you to take a hike and buy your own. amazing

hi, i was interested in getting a job on campus- i particularly wanted to work for UF itself (kinda wanna be an "insider" and also not have to commute too far). i've heard UF gives benefits, but im not sure. if you work on campus somewhere and would like to share, id love to hear from you. do you like it? was getting the job easy?

so i'm going to live off campus when i enter UF in the fall and just called management today for my apt complex asking when i'd be assigned a roommate (i was told to do a questionnaire and everything so i thought i would get one). but i was straight up told that my floor plan doesn't have roommates (2br?? why would i be offered a 2br without a roommate?).

maybe i just didn't read the fine print but im honestly kind of sad i wont have someone else to share that experience with my first year of uni. is this something im overthinking? some roommates get along very well i've heard so i think i've squandered my chance to get a day one friend...feel free to share your thoughts below, maybe a i dodged a bullet 😅thanks!

i'm drafting an appeal for my housing contract because like an idiot i signed for off campus forgetting i signed the housing contract as a "fallback" option, thinking cancellation would be easy. its not...i'm going to argue financial hardship, any suggestions on what to attach? i literally dont care if i have to pay 2000 i need to get out of uf housing immediately
