My takeaway from the major
Usually I’d be really mad after Falcons get knocked out, but honestly I think this Major went about as well as it could’ve after that bad start. Yeah, phase 1 was rough, but in the matches they won they showed a lot of promise.
I think the biggest thing holding them back is their team play. Too many rounds being won by solo plays or by pulling back from a 3v5 deficit due to the lack of trades in the early round but it did look better towards the latter stages of the major.
I was also worried about how Jume would integrate into the team, not just on a playing level but with the group as well, especially since the other 4 have played together for years already. But from the videos I’ve seen on Instagram, he seems to be settling in well and hopefully the team chemistry only gets better from here.
It was also great to see they weren’t mental chalking games. The comeback against SR, the almost comeback against EP, and even during the tac timeout against Faze on Chalet the casters pointed out they were still laughing and having fun.
Honestly, if all 5 players show up at the same event, I genuinely think this roster can win something. We saw great performances from Jume, BriD, Yuzus, Efac and… Solotov (we have a complicated relationship) I know you could say that about any team, but I really believe this roster has potential if they all click together and play well. All that being said I'm excited for the future of this Falcons team.
(Also sorry for the lack of like strategy knowledge, I’m not too well versed on that)
I first started playing siege on my xbox in High Calibre when it was the ranked 1.0 system and I really struggled like I didn't make it out of copper until Solar raid when they implemented the ranked 2.0 system and I hit gold.
Now I've switched to pc and I hit bronze last season and this season I'm in Silver. I'm not that good but I'm not bad either. Does ranked 3.0 mean it's going to be harder to get to gold or above?
