I want to purchase a new Toyota (2026 Rav 4 Se PHEV). It has been 6 years since I bought a new car from a dealer (Ford) so I am not sure of all the new tactics / tricks they may use during the sale process.

I am totally aware that I will have to pay MSRP for this car and that it will take a few months for delivery. What about all these last minute fees and garbage they try to tact on? I also understand that the sales rep will benefit if I did a finance deal and I can also pay it out after the 2nd month. Is it worth my time / cost to drive 3-4-5 hours away from Toronto to secure a deal?

I want to order a Model Y RWD as a city car. I know I should op for the Dual motor setup for Toronto Winter but I am on a budget.

Aside from a set of quality winter tires and getting the charger installed, is there anything else I should be aware of before placing a deposit?
