The ex wife is harassing me and I don’t know what to do
I met this guy at work, we are both working in the bank, and when I met him he was married, months later he stopped wearing a ring and told me and other colleagues that he’s separated but still living in the same house with his ex wife because of their kids and finance.
He asked me out later on and we started dating openly. We were going out at the weekends, nights and he was even staying at my house at night. We were like a real couple. Then one day the ex wife went through his phone and apparently she lost it. She came to work and yelled at us… and she broke every glass and plate at their house and now she keeps messaging me… telling me that “he is hers, I lost him overnight, we are together and happy and calling me mistress and home wrecker…” as well as sending me their photos… I don’t reply or engage any of this messages clearly. Whereas the guy is scared like a chicken, all he says is if the kids hear about he and I, he’d lost them forever. So, we broke up. I wanted to stay as a friend and keep it civil since we are working together but he says he can’t be friend with me because he has still feelings for me and he needs to time to be friends.
Again, the wife messaged me again saying that “you wanna be friends? Let’s all be friends and get cocktail together because he’s mine.”
I forward her messages to him and saying that tell her to leave me alone. He told me to block her because she may text more…
Long story short, we broke up and he still stays at home and pretending to kids everything fine. The wife is there too. She thinks she won him because we broke up but I don’t see what’s the winning of this… they were separated already. I truly can’t understand how she did read all the messages of him that he says how much loves me and we are talking about marriage (while he’s not divorced - I know it’s pretty messed up), yet she still wants him?
I will never wrap my around and there’s always a question linger in my mind; were they really separated?
