I have recently started trying to fix my sleep schedule and time management habits, and one of the biggest things that mess them up are my laptop, I use it all the time and I always find something to do on it, I've tried windows tasks and timed shutdown apps but they just don't do what I'm looking for, so here's my pitch:

The app would automatically, in the background, shut down your PC during your specified hours of the day (e.g. 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM). The app would make it so that after the curfew has started you wouldn't be able to continue using your PC after the initial shutdown, I assume this could be achieved by just automatically making the PC shut down each second or minute of the curfew period while it is on, idk.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

So this year I've started purchasing some equipment in order to rip cassette tapes using Audacity but my current setup isn't generating good results

Here are my specs: My tape player is a Sanyo DCX 59 with the volume knob turned to the max and a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter plugged into the headphone jack at the front (There are RCA ports but only for the VCR and CD player). The other end of the adapter has a 3.5mm to A/C cord plugged into it and the other end of the cord is plugged into the output ports of a Behringer UCA222 (Also turned up to the max) which is plugged into the USB port on the right side of my 21H2S03200 Microsoft Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop (NOT a USB hub, a proper port)

I have the latest version of Audacity installed. I have the host set as MME, the recording device is set to "Microphone (2- USB Audio CODEC" and this is the audio I ripped: https://files.catbox.moe/jg3f39.flac

As you will hear, it sounds like absolute trash, sounding way too quiet, bassy and muffled.

If anybody has some advice on how to fix this problem, it would be most appreciated

I'd say my budget for this is about $30 MAX and I'm wondering if you guys could recommend some good sounding sound cards I can buy off Amazon

For context, I currently own a Sanyo DCX-59 which was a hand-me-down from an elderly family friend and a few days ago I decided to test its recording capabilities by hooking up the headphone jack to the line in port of my computer and playing the tape while having Audacity open and unfortunately the audio was only coming out of the left channel meaning that the deck was mono, since then I've been googling and looking around on eBay for a new tape deck that's in Stereo and these are what I've found

• Technics RS-D190W (Total: $200 AUD, seller sent me a private offer)
• Technics RS-630TUS (Total: $218.57 AUD, seller sent me a private offer)
• Technics RS-M33 (Total: $202.64 AUD)
• Kenwood KX-W8050 (1, 2, totals are $318.13 & $268.75 AUD respectively)

The technics' because I read on here that they were a good brand and the Kenwood KX-W8050 becuase it was used to record this tape + it's japanese

What are you guys' thoughts on these tape decks, are they good prices? Should I buy any of them at all?

EDIT: My max for a total cost is about $200 AUD
