Has anyone tested while on antibiotics and came back negative?

Has anyone tested at 3 weeks post treatment and got positive but at 8 weeks negative?

First treatment was doxy and azithromycin- 4 tests were positive 3 weeks after finishing meds.

Restarted meds.

10 days on doxy first then 4 days into minocycline and tested on the 4th day of mino and I was negative.
My doctor said the meds shouldn’t have an affect and that if I’m negative then it’s accurate cause the tests are so sensitive.

Is it possible it’s a false negative?

Hi guys I’m 31 yr old straight female.
I tested positive for Mgen back in June.

Did 1 week of doxycycline twice daily and 4 days of azythromycin.
Tested 25 days later via urine and vaginal swab. Both positive.

Went back on doxycycline twice daily for 10 days and then switched to metronidazole and minocycline twice daily. Unfortunately I could NOTTT deal with the horrific side affects of the both of them combined let alone the just mino. 3 days on metro with the mino and I had to quit it and only take mino. Then the forth day into mino alone I was at urgent care due to the side affects. So I only got 10 days of doxy, and 4 days into the mino total.

Doc said stop taking them cause the side affects were really taking a toll on my nervous system and she’ll retest me if it makes me feel better. That day we tested. Next day….

Urine test DNA PCR - NEGATIVE

I’m so confused? Maybe the original doxy and azythromycin worked but it was too soon to test at 3 weeks for me?

Or did 10 days of doxy and 4 days of mino wipe it out??? It was a total of 8 weeks since original treatment. I havnt done a vaginal swab yet I’m still gonna wait a little longer just in case but is it possible that I’m now cured??? I’m not symptomatic at all.
Doc said now stop testing yourself cause you’re gonna drive yourself crazy. Sometimes you can have false positives on the littlest bit of dead bacteria so don’t test anymore.

Am I cured???

June- tested positive and treated with 7 days doxy 100mg 2x a day following with the 4 days of azithromycin after. Took TOC 3 weeks later and still positive on urine and vaginal swab.

I was able to get my hands on some more doxy and 2 weeks worth of mino and metro.
I know studies show a week of doxy 100mg 2x daily and then following up with 2 weeks of mino 100mg 2x daily combined with the metro 500mg 2x daily

I did 10 days of the doxy just for some extra before starting metro and mino.

I know the mino is supposed to be a little bit stronger than the doxy so to get my body used to the meds I only took the metro today to see how I would react without the mino. So far, after my first does of metro I had a mild head ache a few hrs after taking and some runs. No cramping or anything and no nausea so far. (Was taken with food). so it wasnt terrible. just took my second dose of metro with food again.

I’m going to include the mino in tmrow with my metro. Im nervous about the mino cause everyone says they are so dizzy and nauseous. Hopefully taking it with food will help and spacing them a couple hrs apart from each other instead of same exact time will also help.

Has anyone noticed a difference when they take it with food or without food? And spacing them a few hrs apart from each other as well?

I also ordered some zofran just in case I get nauseous.

*UPDATE- 2.5 days in on both mino and metro and I feel drunk.. losing my balance here and there. And just fatigued. It’s really hard to concentrate. The brain fog is horrible. Does this go away after a few days??
