I need your opinion

I'm in a six-member band consisting of a drummer, bassist, lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, second vocalist, and me as the main vocalist. I'm a Girl BTW

Is it valid for me to feel offended because they're not leaving much space for me in the band? Let me explain.

To be clear, I'm a pretty decent singer, and I have positive feedback from our audience to back that up. Anyway, we're currently creating a new original song for Spotify. Naturally, everyone is working on their own parts. As for me, I'm still new to writing music from scratch without an existing chord progression to work with. My bandmates can write songs out of thin air, but I'm still learning that process.

Because of that, we usually rely on our drummer's songwriting skills. In fact, he wrote our first single, which performed fairly well. Now, with this new song, he wants to sing most of it himself, which would make me more of a backup singer than the band's vocalist.

I raised the issue and asked who would handle the drum parts if he were singing lead. After discussing it, we agreed that if we can't find a backup drummer for live performances, I'll sing the entire song on stage.
