Question about internal exam

Has your PT ever done an internal assessment while you are standing up? My PT wants to try today and I’m nervous. I can’t insert anything on my own when I am standing so I’m afraid it’s going to hurt.
Has anyone ever had this done? Is it weird?

Need help with dilators at home

I’ve been making slow progress with dilators but it always seems to be easier at pelvic PT than it does at home. Currently I can’t use the next size dilator, it just feels like hitting a wall. But my PT can insert it and it doesn’t hurt. Does anyone know what I can do different at home to make it easier? I’m frustrated with myself

Why is masturbation so taboo for women and not men?

Up until college I thought masturbation was just something guys did. None of my friends ever talked about it and I didn’t realize it was a thing you could/ maybe should do. I started going to pelvic floor pt and I’ve felt pretty shy/kind of embarrassed when she has soft launched the masturbation convo. She has asked if I have a vibrator and has talked about introducing pleasure into my homework to make it less clinical. But why does it feel so taboo? This lady has literally seen me naked but I’m embarrassed about her knowing I’ve done anything like that, even though she would probably be so excited for me

I have vaginismus and I’ve been trying to use tampons for months. I’m on the second dilator and that is way more comfortable than tampons. I’ve only been using light ones but once it goes in it is almost impossible to get out. It’s like impressive how stuck it is no matter how saturated it is or how long I’ve left it in. I’ve been anxious about it getting stuck and having to go to the doctors to have it removed. Does this happen to anyone else? Did it get better?

Currently dreading having to take this one out because I know it is going to hurt so bad. SOS.
