What happened to my flowers?

Hello,

You've might've seen my post from a weeks ago asking if blackberries dropped flowers in the heat. I kept the plant well watered and even added a bit of fertilizer to help the bush set fruits. But, every single flower so far has dropped without turning into berries. 😭 My only suspects is pest pressure, or poor pollination. I don't know what the exact problem is so I was hoping that you all have some insight. The only pest I've seen are the invasive Japanese beetles on the flowers, but in my experience they only eat the petals, and they leave distinctive damage on the leaves which I'm not seeing here. Pollination shouldn't be an issue, I have a lot of other flowers (sunflowers, zinnias, nasturtiums, etc.) all over my veggie garden which has attracted a load of bees!

I'm on the border of zones 5 and 6.

Too hot for Blackberries?

Hello, I just have a quick question that I couldn't find a clear answer to online: When is it too hot for blackberry bushes to set fruit? It's been over 90F (32C) for weeks in a row while my blackberry bush is growing flowers. A few have bloomed, but I can't tell if they are turning into berries or just falling off. I couldn't find an upper temperature that the plant will set fruit before the flowers just fall off instead. I am on the border of zones 6a and 5b. The plant is the Baby Cakes variety and it is in a terracotta pot. This is my first time trying to grow blackberries!

Thank you in advance for your help!

How to recover from burnout

Hello. I think I've been dealing with burnout in the final stages of writing my thesis, and if I can't claw my way out I serious won't finish in time. I was pushing myself super hard Jan-Mar this year when I got the worst sickness of my life over spring break (wasn't strep, covid, or flu tested for all of them). I haven't been able to get into the same workflow since despite having all the time in the world over summer. Anything I do just feels like a slog/pulling teeth. I'm not sure if I should've spent time back in April taking a proper break to clear the burnout instead of trying to get back into it. How do you all prevent burnout before it starts? And if you find yourself in it, how do you pull yourself out, or is it just keep going no matter how bad it gets?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Stolen or GenAI Embroidery Pattern? Dozens of Etsy shops with this image and I can't tell if it's real and stolen or was generated then copied around.

Hello, I found this pattern on Etsy (shop is Aureli as shown in the screenshot). I got bad vibes from a new shop (under 1 year) with hundreds of sales, so I reversed image searched it and found multiple shops with this image trying to sell this embroidery pattern.

Other than the prevalence of shops with this image, I think there's also some thread gradients that aren't possible in real life, but it also might be the lighting instead. I don't see any weird stitches right now, but I'm relatively new to the craft so I might be missing something. The original image also could have just been stolen by dropshippers as well. I am trying to find the original shop/artist if it's not AI!
