My fps changes after I disconnect from my TV

I have an Asus tuf A15 laptop with a 3070 GPU and I have a weird issue that I can't find an answer for online.
My laptop does a fantastic job when it comes to gaming while connected to the TV which is most of the time and I can get 120HZ out of it on 1080p resolution, and 60 on all games on 1440p, my issue is that when I disconnect the laptop from the TV it goes to 60HZ and I can't change it at all, the fps stuff that's usually written in G-helper disappears too, in the display settings, it's also stuck at 60 with no other option, but the laptop can do 144HZ.
I do have a solution though, it fixes it completely but the next time I disconnect from the TV, it happens again, so I'm looking for more of a permanent solution.
my solution: I go into device manager and uninstall the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and then press "scan for hardware changes" and wait for it to come back. that fixes it and the 144HZ option under laptop screen which had disappeared comes back.
