Help me with car parking fees and how I can pay?
Today was my first day driving a rental car in Sweden. I parked in this spot, marked by the attached sign, for about two hours. Since I saw similar signs elsewhere requiring a "p-skiva" (parking disc), I set one to my arrival time and placed it on the dashboard before leaving the car.
When I returned, I realized this spot requires a fee ("Avgift, Taxa C"). I downloaded the EasyPark app to pay for my time retrospectively, but it seems I can only start a new session, not pay for time already elapsed.
Not wanting to break any rules, I asked a nearby taxi driver for advice. He suggested I might be able to pay at a parking machine inside the Mall of Scandinavia. I tried that, but the machine said it couldn't find my license plate number.
I am worried about receiving a fine because I honestly didn't understand the system and couldn't figure out how to correct my mistake. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this and pay the fee, or will I just have to wait and see if a fine arrives via the rental company? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Tack!
