Overjoyed yet confused.

I bought these at a yard sale, from a super sweet woman. Utterly delighted I got them for cheap, and got the knee pads thrown in for free. That said, I'm confused about the left and right, as theyre both right sides, except they're mirrored, so I'm fairly sure one is a leftie.

Sadly also, the knee pads seem to be a bit small for me, above my knee I size to a 19inch, which is an xl according to their website. That said, I can't even get them over my calf, which is roughly 14 inches. I'm not sure how that works, but I am losing weight gradually anyways.

Am I doing something wrong or is it just a size mismatch? Any gear recommendations also welcome. I want to skate a little bit along my sidewalk just to get my sea legs, but before I take a trip anywhere I'd like full protection.

Thanks for any info!

Need advice as I'm a total noob.

Hey, so I've been a nailbiter for the majority of my life, as a stress response more so than a habit. I suddenly just stopped once my life improved past a certain point, and that's where I'm at now. The problem is now my nails have a variety of issues. Dirt keeps going under and I read im not supposed to scrape it out under my nail, but I can't get it out with a brush because my nail beds and that fancy word I learned here, hyponychium? are very short still.

They're also bendy and tear prone, and there is a lot of ridges and dips on the nail.

I never really cared about any of this, but now I'm at a point where I'd like to improve myself physically as well as psychologically.

I would love to learn how to grow them healthily and if there are ways to make them look as nice as some of the nails I've seen on here.

I see people swear by jojoba oil, so I'll be buying that, but otherwise I'd like to learn how to keep them clean and grow out the hyponychium thingy, at the very least.

Thank you in advance!
