Is it dangerous to skip the preheat part of cooking food?
My entire life I've skipped preheating my oven. If it says do it for 20 mins I just do it for 24-25 mins instead and skip preheating it! Ive never gotten ill from doing this and it always seems to come out fine but now I'm just wondering. Ik this method can make the food have a worse texture but in terms of food safety does it change anything?
(Also asking BC when I searched it on Google it said that it's unsafe because preheated ovens are crucial for blasting off bacteria????)
