Relocating abroad alone leaving family
Hi fellow Zimbo husbands and fathers. I am hoping to get viewpoints from Zim men whether local or abroad.
I have a potential opportunity to relocate to the Middle East, and I wanted to get men's opinions on relocating with family or leaving my family.
I want to get the pros and cons, both financially and psychologically, and perceived impacts to your family. If you have lived this, please feel free to pitch in as well.
I want to know which option you would take as a man and father and why.
Assumptions to keep in mind
The current job pays good money
You and your wife are happily married with 2 kids (2 and 1)
If you left the country alone, you would be coming back annually but monthly you remit USD $1k home to keep family living standards, You save $1k towards your joint family goals, you can also save your own cash nest egg abroad.
The role is at a prestigious international company, so the CV will look good and there's a lot of exposure
