How long should I give my partner to quit?

So we have been together for 7 years and we've both been smokers for over a decade. He has been telling me he wants to quit since we got together but its never happened. Im actually the only one who has ever quit because ive been pregnant 3 times and each time ive found out im pregnant I quit smoking. Hes never taken that opportunity to quit with me and ive started smoking again after each pregnancy.

Im actually realizing he only talks about quitting when we are both smoking, and he'll even start rationing cigarettes for me which is really annoying bc its not my idea to quit. Once ive quit though I never hear him talk about quitting, he just continues on as normal.

I just had our 3rd baby 3 weeks ago and last week I told him im about to cave and start smoking again if you dont quit. He said he wants to quit and will start smoking less each day.

So how long do I give him to do this? Because honestly I would love to start smoking again but I will stay quit if he also quits to support him

MIL messed up my kitchen items

While she was visiting she stayed at our house and did some cooking, but she messed up a couple of my things :(

She somehow broke the bottom piece off of my French press, I use this thing every single day for years and I have no idea how she even did this.

She broke every single cabinet lock I had on 4 cabinets to keep my kids/pets out of them.

She scratched up my non stick pans that I just bought earlier this year.

Im just annoyed that I have to spend money to replace these items that had literally nothing wrong with them before she stayed with us 🙄 Lesson learned to never let anyone else cook in my kitchen again.

MIL got my kids high

I just had our 3rd baby a week ago and MIL is staying with us for 2 weeks to help out since we also have a 4yo and a 2yo. But she is so careless she hasnt been any help at all, she's just adding more chaos and stress.

We have a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs so the 2yo cant go up there by herself and MIL never closes it when she goes up or down the stairs. She also never closes the door to the guest room shes staying in. She has all of her stuff laying out everywhere including candies that are choking hazards, vapes, and Marijuana gummies. I actually didnt know she even had the gummies in her room until today.

She had gone upstairs and the kids followed her, as they have been doing during her stay. I was downstairs on the couch feeding my newborn. I guess MIL came back downstairs but didnt make the kids come back down with her so they were left unattended upstairs. A few minutes later I hear my 2yo saying 'yummy' upstairs so i go up there and shes got her fingers in the container of Marijuana gummies. I asked my 4yo if they ate these and how many and he said yes they ate 1.

Im so incredibly upset because neither me nor my husband do any kind of drugs and we dont drink either. So the fact this woman brought this crap into my house with small children and didnt think to properly store it so they cant get into it. Its so disrespectful and careless. Im never letting her stay in our house again. I think she is here for 1 more day before she goes back home. Its beyond fucked up

Husband wants to buy a new truck that will financially stress us out

My husband is the only one working right now and I'm a SAHM to 2 toddlers and pregnant with baby number 3. Obviously since we are living off of one income money can be tight but we make it work.

We only have one car but now my husband wants to buy a truck. It cant be any truck though he is looking at ones that cost near 30k. That's going to cost us like 500 or 600 a month and we dont have money for a down payment on it either. I dont know why he thinks we can afford this.

He already bought a brand new bike that cost 12 grand this spring, he said in the summer he can ride it to work which he has done 1 time then said its too cold in the mornings and hasn't taken it to work again. Im like so you bought a brand new bike just to ride it for an hour or 2 on some of your off days? We have long, harsh winters so there's no way hes riding it for more than 4 months a year here.

If I try to tell him this is a bad financial decision then it will start an argument of him telling me im selfish and that its his money and he can do whatever he wants with it. Im just really annoyed that he cant see how dumb he is being with money.
