hello everyone, im a beginner at drums and due to financial issues, i will no longer be able to attend drum classes. i researched a bit before and almost everyone said it'd be good to learn just the basic and then you'd be fine on your own. i do not know how much is enough, though.
i know how to read the music sheet (snare, bass drum, hihat, crash, toms), i know the three basic rudiments (single stroke, double stroke, paradiddles), I've learnt the basic 8 variations and fills.
what else must i learn before i can start learning songs. and what songs would you recommend i learn first?
im interested in learning loose cannon by puzzle or fly-day chinatown but i think they're complex for a beginner like me.
