There's a new banner, using as base the cover from volume 28 we mentioned we'd use alongside the new icon (which got changed a while back) plus one of the older titles of the manga covers. It took ages to find a way to fit the design because it turns out banner sizing on Reddit is horrid and it's even more horrid when you take into account Reddit mobile app vs desktop, so there's two slightly different designs for each version which should be uploaded now.
That's all! We'll keep doing the usual release/news posts. The AI "cosplay" bots that were popping up seem to have disappeared (for now). All's unfortunately silent on the anime and main manga continuation front, but at least we have the extremely nice "The day I took in Dazai" adaptation and (for now) the "Untold Origins" adaptation to look forward to.
i'm a little more focused on getting my cosplay ready than picking a panel. or page! it's kinda hard to choose when you own almost the entirety of the manga, side manga, and the light novels. what suggestions would make sense and be funny and/or memorable?
(for reference, i own up to 25 in the main manga and the first 8 light novels. plus beast,15, anthology, and up to 11 in wan. though, i would like to see what you'd personally get signed.)
Btw hello from Ukraine
gaslighting myself into believing that i know how to replicate the bsd artstyle
I'm looking at all the official arts/anime scenes with color and can't decide 😭
^(During the Guild arc's climax (season 2 and volume 9), Fitzgerald starts messing with Akutagawa and Atsushi a lot. The thing is that when beating up Atsushi, Fitzgerald says he knows about his former caretaker and then suddenly brings up the fact that his real parents beat him up even more horribly. Did Atsushi forget to react to such fact and never think about whatever happened to his real parents? It's like the most important part of his part was forgotten in favor of his caretaker who shows up even in Dead Apple)
I heard there are some short story. I found the Tanabata limited event on Tumblr. But I can't find these things below:

After watching the first ep of the Wan season 2 I have so many ideas to draw and merch ideas
I wanted to come on here and express my feelings on the ending to part 1. I have been a fan of BSD after I discovered it in 2019, and I remember picking up the manga up to date that same year (when volume 13 came out in english). Since then I have been a huge fan of the series and it was quite frankly one of my favorites to fixate on at the time. Since the start of the vampire arc, I have been seeing how the series has been and the direction it went, and I know I may be in the majority of people but I do feel like these past 5 years of the manga it felt very drawn out with all the conflicts and fake out deaths happening one after another.
When the anime came around and adapted the final episode of season 5, I was excited to see where we would go next. Only to see that we had to wait from August 2023 to March/April 2024 for the continuation of the airport end scene. And thats when Fyodor was revealed to be the real villain all along, orchestrating everything during the DOA's actions. I felt pretty peeved at this revelation and i felt like alot of people, including myself were waiting for Fyodor to just be rid of as a villain so we can finally move on from the conflict. Mind you, had it not been for Fyodor's secret reveal as a villain, the arc had a good way to wrap up the vampire arc and move on much like how the guild arc and cannibalism arc. You have to realize that the entire conflict began in volume 14's Perfect crime arc, which kickstarted the exhausting series of events all the way till volume 25. Had it done that, I would have been on board to see what would happen next.
But it did not.
Instead we had fyodor being the final boss of the exhuasting 15 volumes of this saga where neither the cast or the reader could catch a break with how much shit was going on one after another. Sure you can say it was split between the hunting dog arc and DOA arc but overall, the story had zero breathing room other than reunion and meetings after volume 20 transitioning into volume 21. Because of this, I was getting tired of how long the series has been going when it came to wanting the conflict to end so both the cast and reader can have breathing room. Then we finally got it in the last recent chapters, sure Fyodor died in the most unclimatic way, yes there are so many unresolved mysteries in the narrative between characters fate and the order of the clock tower. But I am glad its finally over.
What really made me want to come to a realization that I want to see BSD volume 28 as the final of the series is when it was announced that it was the end of part 1. Yes, you read that right, 10 light novels, 28 volumes of manga, from 2013 to 2026 was all of Part 1. This was the final nail in the coffin for me. I don't know how others feel about this, and I am sure so many people may agree but I find it ridiculous that all those events was just part 1. So many other manga series end around the 20s and 30s of volumes and some are great and some have a dip of quality due to time. And BSD is a series I just wanted to see end so I can just enjoy the series from beginning to end without needing to wait for an ending years down the line. And thats why I feel like volume 28 in my opinion will be the end point for my journey with this amazing series. Yes I know part 2 may bring in some amazing new story ideas and i am glad people are happy and excited for the series to continue, may it be long time fans or newcomers. But coming from someone who has been following the series for years, I am glad to stop my journey with it and am glad Asagiri ended part 1 with how it was ended. Alot of series in fiction end with open ended mysteries and what ifs, and thats what I want it to do for me as someone who loves this series.
Thank you for reading.

This is unfinished sketch of my OC Isana Oguchi. Here's information about her:
- She appears in Dark Era.
- First created in character ai as persona in 2023 then decided to finalize details about her, changing design her almost multiple times
- Has (normal?) relationship with Dazai in DE (not romantic)
- Works as Comp. Scientist
- Has left mafia before Oda's death and Dazai's departure
- Currently works as as kindergarten educator
- Has Asperger Syndrome
- Has joined PM at 18 and has been there for 2 years
- Originally planned romantic relationship between PM Dazai and Isa, however very soon I changed their relationship into something but not romantic.
- Was inspired by one yumeship fanart from Pinterest
You can ask questions about my OC!
I remember seeing that the Kadokawa panel at Anime Expo (July 3) would include BSD, and the description mentioned there would be announcements. I was expecting at least some kind of new information about the franchise.
However, I haven't been able to find any news afterward. Did I miss something, or were there actually no BSD announcements?
If anyone attended the panel or the Kadokawa booth, I'd really appreciate hearing what was discussed.
I translated the first chapter of the new The Day I Took In Dazai manga adaptation into English! First 20 pages are in the carousel here, and the remaining ones can be found in my original thread here: https://x.com/yoshiko_png/status/2072977909220868411?s=20

If anyone knows any sites/places I can get stuff for a Fyodor cosplay? Preferably not costing more than Fitzgerald's net worth. Also any ideas for extra things like accessories or props? And how much would height matter... ALSO should I wear contacts? I wear glasses but could make it without wearing my glasses.. (I didn't wear them most of the time when I cosplayed Chuuya) I've also never worn contacts and never bought em so any sites or opinions for that is much appreciated! Thinking of going as him for a con in September. I also have one in October so character cosplay recommendations for that would be awesome! Or even for this one if there's a character that would be funner/better to cosplay! Also wondering if I should cosplay RITHOTD Fyodor, Muersault Fyodor, or what..
I have quite a bit of BSD art that is thought I’d share on here!
This piece took a long time to make especially the clothes rendering lol, I think I’ll also make this as a print to sell too :3
