I’m thinking about my first trail ultra (66km with 1600m ish elevation) and I need help to find a suitable trail shoes.
My feet are annoyingly shaped due to being very wide everywhere except the heel I quite normal. I tried Altra experience wild 3+ which was ok from the toe box but too narrow from the midfoot.

My biggest issue is that all shoes tend to be too narrow from the midfoot and all wide shoes Altra for example seems to be wide only in the toe box. I use Nb 1080v15 4E in road running which still isn’t perfect fit, but the midsole is forgiving because it’s very soft. It’s still bit too narrow.

I walk 90% of the time with barefoot shoes but I have never run in 0 drop shoes so I’m bit scared to try anything 0 drop.

Any suggestions?
