Is the Clinical Psychology PHD program fully funded?

Hi! I'm an incoming transfer BS psychology student for fall 2026, and I have been researching PHD programs. I've read recommendations to never apply to a PHD program if it's not fully funded. psychology. UNT offers a PHD in clinical psychology, but I'm not sure if it is fully funded. They do offer scholarships, but it doesn't look guaranteed. So, is UNTs clinical psychology program fully funded?

Thanks in advance! Also, it'd be great if there are any current psych majors that could tell me what you think about the courses. What to expect? Especially research labs, the professors, and statistics. Thanks!

Hi! Im a sophomore in college, but I haven't taken my studies seriously and I've a 3.6 cumulative GPA because my courses were that lax. Unfortunately for me, about 5 months ago I've decided that I'm settling on a psychology major not realizing how much writing that would entail.

I struggle to write essays. I have two due in 10 days and Im struggling to meet a 1250 word requirement. So what does it mean to write an essay? In my head, im assuming its all about knowing the information and If I don't know the information then I essentially have nothing to write. Is that correct? That essays are just comprehension tests? Communicating what I know effectively, so if I know nothing I will produce nothing which means I should dedicate my time to comprehending research?

Hi! More realistically speaking, Im pursuing psychology, but I don't know if its what I want to do yet, but im only deterred by the amount of writing. My first psych paper is actually due in a week and its only 1200 words, but I can barely crack it and I have four sources! I really struggle with writing in depth and I think its due to my lack of confidence and fear of showing personality or my opinions or making mistakes really.

What I mean to ask is

Is there anyone else here that was absolutely terrible at writing essays starting out, but got better without it impacting their grades? Im all for growing as a person, but don't I need a high GPA for grad school? I have a high GPA now, but im worried that the potential future papers I get will tank it. I assume the best way to write great papers is to know the material in full, but even on that im not sure.

Sorry! Im just really anxious about pursuing psychology because its the only degree that Im interested in after spending the last 2 years aimlessly looking for things and technically I fell onto psychology at a whim 5 months ago so I don't know what psych is about but im throwing myself into a program that I feel im severely unprepared for. Especially know that there's a dissertation that's written in grad school and the avg. Length of the essays are 100-200 pages long or 30k words.
