Every week my basement fills up with wood bugs. Don't know what to do anymore.
I've been dealing with this for 7 years. Nothing I do seems to matter. It was new construction home and from day one my basement has been polluted with these guys. At one point I had two dehumidifiers running plus the venmar, I spent thousands of dollars on exterminators, that didn't even seem to slow them down. I've taken the drywall off in multiple spots to see if there was any moisture behind the walls, Completely dry. I've sealed the drain holes, siliconed every seam in my windows thinking they were coming in through there. I know that's not a smart idea but I'm at my Wit's end. I've also tried slug bait and diatomaceous eartharound the outside of the house and around the basement. The neighbors must think I'm crazy because I even went in the backwoods and found every dead tree cut it up and burned hoping if I got rid of that. I'd lower their population. I'm willing to try almost anything and any help would be appreciated.
