Massage at Tropical Treasures - what level undress can men get?

Wife and I are getting massages there in a couple days and Im curious what to expect. A few years ago I ended up getting a massage at the place next to it and was a little surprised the lady took my swim trunks off after I was under the towel. Also a little surprised how far up the thighs they rubbed but Im not complaining (not a happy ending or anything, just hands sliding up against the genitals). Is that the norm down here or will it be different at Tropical Treasures? Id prefer to be completely undressed and am wondering if that is an option as it doesn't appear to have much privacy.

WWYD with a '01 Ranger with 110k miles looking at $2k+ in brakes, tires, and other repairs?

Trying to decide what to do with a 2001 Ranger my HS son is driving. Took it to a local mechanic (never steered me wrong before, excellent reputation in our small community) for brakes. The estimate came back at about $1,300 for front calipers, brake hoses, pads, rotors, and wheel bearings.

The mechanic also found that the idler and tensioner pulleys are damaging the belt and recommended replacing those for about $300.

Other items they found:

Left rear shock is blown out

Front crank seal has a slow leak

Rear pinion seal has leak

Front sway bar links are broken

Front outer tie rod boots are torn

Front upper ball joint boots are torn

Exhaust is very rusty and starting to fall apart

Needs an alignment

Tires are old and cracking

The mechanic said the brakes and pulley work should really be done now but other stuff could wait. Leaks were slow, tie rods and ball joints were tight. How long we can wait, I dont know. If I wanted to fix everything else on the list (not including brakes, pulleys, or tires), it would be about another $2,500.

I am not a DYI guy and know very little about cars. He could have made up half those parts and I would have had no idea. Was thinking I was going to spend like $500 on brakes and now Im looking at $1600 plus new tires now and another $2,500 of potential repair costs down the road.

What's the move here? My wife wants to do nothing and sell as-is. I was hoping to get another year out of it (probably another 5k miles) before buying a new vehicle for me and handing down our current car. My wife thinks spending $40k now is the best way to avoid spending $2k. Will replacing the brakes, pulleys, and tires increase the resell price by much if those other items still need fixed? It would be easier to spend $2k now if knew I could recoup part of that when I sold it, but I really dont know much about the market for old trucks.

Edit/Update: Well I think you guys have convinced me to keep the truck and try out some DIY projects with the boys. You all make it sound so easy. I look forward to cursing you all when Im on hour 10 of a 1 hour project. Ill probably still have mechanic do the brakes as that seems like a big project to start with and Id like to get it drivable again. So we will start with the pulleys and go from there. Appreciate all the input received.
