Me and my friends were finalizing a flat for rent and the broker asked us to transfer all payments upfront for the deal. We trusted him because he sounded genuine and kept saying the process was urgent.
In total, I paid ₹46,500 to the broker which included:
Rent
Security deposit
Brokerage
Agreement charges
Gate pass charges
I have screenshots and chat proof for every payment made.
Now the problem is after speaking with the owner directly, we found out the broker has only transferred around ₹20,000 to the owner, while the remaining amount is missing. The owner is now saying the full amount was never received from the broker.
The broker keeps delaying, giving excuses, and avoiding proper answers. At this point it feels like we may have been cheated.
I have:
Payment screenshots
Bank transaction proof
Chats with the broker
Owner confirmation about amount received
What should be my next step here?
Should I file a police complaint immediately?
Is this enough proof for a legal case?
Has anyone dealt with a similar broker scam before?
Any way to recover the money fast?

I’m 22M and completely new to business/franchise stuff. I’m trying to understand whether buying a small franchise in India is actually worth it for someone like me.
My budget is around ₹50K–₹1.5L maximum, but realistically I don’t want to invest the full ₹1.5L into the franchise itself because I know there will be extra expenses like:
Shop rent/security deposit
Electricity
Worker salary
Basic setup/maintenance
Marketing/local promotion
GST/legal stuff (which I honestly know nothing about yet)
Currently I’m staying in Noida Extension, originally from Mumbai. I’m mainly looking for something that can generate a stable monthly income rather than becoming some huge brand overnight.
I have a few beginner questions:
Is it even realistic to expect decent monthly returns in this budget?
Which type of franchise works best in this range right now in India?
Logistics/courier?
Car wash?
Tea/snacks?
Recharge/SMM/digital services?
Do franchise companies help with hiring workers/staff?
If I don’t have GST/company registration yet, will the franchise guide me through the setup process?
What’s the biggest mistake beginners make while buying cheap franchises?
Are there any franchises in this budget that are genuinely profitable and not just “selling the dream”?
I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people who actually own or operated a franchise before. Even if the advice is harsh, I’d rather know the reality before investing money.

My bike has started acting weird and I’m not sure what the issue is.

When the bike is in neutral, the engine turns off automatically after a while. When I shift into 1st gear and hold the accelerator steady, the engine still shuts off. The same thing happens in 2nd and 3rd gear as well.

Another issue is that the bike is not starting properly. Earlier I had to give full throttle to start it, but now it doesn’t start even with full throttle.

What could be causing this? Could it be related to the carburetor/throttle body, spark plug, fuel supply, air filter, idle RPM, or something else?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
