Uk variant prices, (1970s marvel comics) is the gap getting smaller.

Ive put several comics into auction recently and have been suprised that my UK variant issues are achieving nearly the same price as the US version. I sold a star wars no 1 in both the usa and uk varients. Both sold for pretty much the same price (bagged and boarded, not graded). The same with an "adventures on the planet of the apes" no 1.

So i am wondering if these are outliers or are UK variants slowly catching up.

Back in the 80s, 90s, they were impossible to sell. (well not impossible, but at a heftly discount)

the latest research in the language of whales

https://royalsocietypublishing.org/rspb/article/293/2069/20252994/481340/The-phonology-of-sperm-whale-coda-vowels

https://www.projectceti.org/research/index

in short, recent advances in the analysis of sperm whales show the complexity of the sounds they make go far beyond what was originally thought .

'Sperm whale coda vocalizations are thus highly complex and represent one of the closest parallels to human phonology of any analysed animal communication system.'

changes to the theme song. Which is your favourite.

I find it difficult to listen to the series one theme now after being used to the latest theme. the missing dog bark is jarring 😄

I find the pre series 13 theme quite comforting, familiar, etc so i guess its my favourite because of that. Also the theme after series 13 is a close second. The whole style of the music nails the homespun/community/family/friendship feeling the show has.

not authentic obviously but pretty good version of what I used to buy in Japan.

made from layers of crepe (flour and water), cabbage, fried noodles, “pork” (bacon flavour bits) crepe, omelette (gram flour)

topped with okonomiyaki sauce made from ketchup, soy sauce, home made Worcester sauce, syrup.

topped with seaweed powder (nori) sesame seeds, green onion, mayo.

Its meant to be made all in one pile on a flat grill, but I used a couple of pans and managed with a bit of flipping between pans.
