Anybody looking to offload a bottle of Pineapple Absolu? HMU!

Anybody out here have experience with both MB Explorer Extreme and Pineapple Absolu?

I have Extreme currently, and I like it, but what I really love about it is the dry down. It’s like a super dark smoky Aventus vibe, but the opening smells very close to Sauvage. Nothing wrong with that as I don’t dislike Sauvage, but I’m curious if Pineapple Absolu is similar to the dry down of Extreme.

I’d love to find something that allows me to skip the Sauvage opening if possible. As usual, I’ll probably just have to get my hands on a decant to see for myself, but would love opinions of anybody has any. Thanks!

So I’m thinking about picking up Sicilian Tobacco as I’ve heard a lot of great things about it and Naxos, but I’m wondering if it might be a bit redundant with the other stuff I already own.

I currently own Brooklyn Jazz, Stronger With You Intensely, and Vanille Fraiche for fall/winter vibes. Mainly concerned that between the SWY and the Brooklyn Jazz, this might not get much use. Thoughts?

So I decided this evening to give my sample of Wulong Cha that Ayyb threw in to my last decant purchase a shot after seeing so many people speak highly of the OG. I’m a fan of Imagination, and with people mentioning strong tea and soapy notes, and mentions of high end spa/hotel scents, I had very high hopes as I love when a nice hotel smells great.

I put a spray on each forearm and a spray on my shirt at my chest, and the opening was pretty awesome. Strongly resembled a fresh cup of citrusy green tea and it took my mind to the upscale Cantonese restaurant that is down the street from me. Very fresh, green scent, very pleasant.

After about 5 minutes, that initial opening started to disappear rapidly and the underlying musk really started to come through heavily along with a soapy quality. I’m often a fan of certain musks, but this one, unfortunately, just isn’t for me. It makes me think of some of the scents my mom or my grandma would wear back in the 90’s or a fancy body bar soap you’d find in a nice hotel. TBH, I could see this possibly being something I might enjoy on a female, but I’m starting to realize I’m just more in to masculine leaning unisex scents and firmly masculine scents for the most part.

Do I think it’s a bad scent? No, not at all. Could I see myself ever coming around on it for a scent for myself? Also no. I’m no parfum expert, just a dude who recently started diving deeper in to world of fragrance and I’m still really getting a grasp of what I like and what I don’t.

If you’re someone like me who really enjoys scents from Montagne like Tygr, Alcantra, Afternoon Dive, maybe resist the urge to blind buy this one when they release it in a couple weeks(?) and try to get your hands on a sample or decant.

Would love to hear others thoughts on it though, because sometimes, having another’s ideas on the scent notes in my mind can help me pick them out better. I’ll probably try out the Azonto Absolu and Mojave Spirit Absolu in the next couple days as well and see if those might be something up my alley for when they release.
